Overall review: Soil Dynamics is considered a decent journal in the industry, but I was a bit heartbroken that its Impact Factor seems to have dropped to 4.0 this year. The editor and reviewers I encountered were very patient in reviewing my manuscript, providing a lot of professional opinions that hit the nail on the head. They rejected my submission but encouraged me to resubmit. However, perhaps because my topic is too niche, it took 1.5 years to finally get accepted, which is really not commendable in terms of time.
