Overly pure frictional mechanics theory or overly complex formulas may not appeal to the editors.

It required for a certain degree of innovation... In contrast, the difficulty of acceptance is slightly lower than Tribol Int, Wear and Journal of Tribology. Of course, reviewers are quite critical, and the probability of acceptance for a paper with certain innovation is not low.
