Mechanical brothers in distress. The impact factor (IF) is really too low. If we can't get published in journals like ATE under Elsevier, we can only submit to the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in the UK and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Unfortunately, both options are too slow and the IF is ridiculously low. The review process usually takes around five months for journals in the fourth quartile, and it's not guaranteed to even make it to the third quartile in our lifetime.

This journal is not so good, it is not recommended to submit. The speed is slow, and it’s arrogant. The manuscript was submitted in January 2018 and we urged it once in March 2018. They said that the second reviewer did not send back the comments. The manuscript was urged at 8 am on July 22, 2018, and it was replied at 13 pm that the second reviewer did not send back the comments, then the reply was received at 5 pm on that day that it was rejected! Obviously, the second reviewer's comments did not come back, and the manuscript was directly rejected by the editor. The point is that you have delayed me for seven months, ha ha. Unhappy.
