Optics & Laser Technology aims to provide a vehicle for the publication of a broad range of high quality research and review papers in those fields of scientific and engineering research appertaining to the development and application of the technology of optics and lasers. Papers describing original work in these areas are submitted to rigorous refereeing prior to acceptance for publication.
The scope of Optics & Laser Technology encompasses, but is not restricted to, the following areas:
•development in all types of lasers
•developments in optoelectronic devices and photonics
•developments in new photonics and optical concepts
•developments in conventional optics, optical instruments and components
•techniques of optical metrology, including interferometry and optical fibre sensors
•LIDAR and other non-contact optical measurement techniques, including optical methods in heat and fluid flow
•applications of lasers to materials processing, optical NDT display (including holography) and optical communication
•research and development in the field of laser safety including studies of hazards resulting from the applications of lasers (laser safety, hazards of laser fume)
•developments in optical computing and optical information processing
•developments in new optical materials
•developments in new optical characterization methods and techniques
•developments in quantum optics
•developments in light assisted micro and nanofabrication methods and techniques
•developments in nanophotonics and biophotonics
•developments in imaging processing and systems

Letpub's review process is indeed magical. On the afternoon of June 17, the status changed to "under review", and by June 18, a reviewer had already completed their work. The speed has picked up, and I hope for a good outcome!

Letpub is amazing. After the review on March 31st, it was immediately sent for editorial review by two reviewers. The review process was very fast and the feedback was very constructive.
On April 20th, major revisions were made. 
On May 10th, the manuscript was submitted.
The revised manuscript was received on May 26th. 
It was accepted on June 2nd

Due to its relatively high impact factor, OLT has become a frequent choice for submission among students in the research group. Personal experience: the review process is relatively lenient, but there is a long wait time between initial submission and assignment for review. Careful consideration is advised for those in a hurry to get accepted.

I submitted it at the end of July last year, underwent two months of under review, and received feedback for major revisions before the National Day holiday. Then I went on holiday during the National Day, so it was delayed until it was sent back for revisions on October 14, 2023. I received an email on October 25, 2023. It feels like the editor was deliberating on whether they wanted the article or not. Other than the peer review taking quite long, everything else was pretty quick. Not bad
