One positive and one negative, the negative one believes that after a large-scale modification, it needs to be reviewed again. The editor sent it to a third person, and the third reviewer rejected it in three sentences. The rejection was based on lack of originality. The need for major revision is true, but what I don't understand is why the reviewers keep talking about structural equations when my research is purely based on constitutive theory. Isn't it irrelevant to discuss structural equations? Linear elastic constitutive theory is applicable to most metal structures. I have to question the level of expertise of the reviewers who confuse constitutive theory with structural theory.

The articles pointed out were all from publicly available literature in open journals, and the editor-in-chief was also brainless. Not bad, isn't it better to categorize it into the Materials Science discipline? I feel that the Materials Science discipline is quite broad. As long as the sub-disciplines include mechanics and mechanical engineering, its categorization is not the same as sub-disciplines that include chemistry and characterization testing. If the Materials Science discipline is categorized under Engineering and Technology (with many strong journals related to mechanics and mechanical engineering), then it is bound to be classified as a Q3 category.
