According to their official website, on average, it takes 26 days from submission to initial decision by the editorial team, 46 days for peer review, and 8 days for publication after acceptance (actual experience confirms this or even faster: submitted on 7.23, minor revision on 9.12, resubmitted on 9.22, accepted on 10.9). There are also no publication fees, and it is listed in JCR Q1 internationally and in the second division of the Chinese Academy of Sciences domestically. It is possible to achieve slightly better results with a bit of effort. In conclusion, this high-quality journal with a good reputation, fast speed, low threshold, and no fees is highly recommended!

I previously submitted to Chomesphere because the Nine-Dash Line required the removal of irrelevant inserted lines related to academia. The editing department returned the edited manuscript within two days, which was quite fast. However, besides providing academic advice, the reviewer also expressed strong political bias. Since my research area is the South China Sea, I included the nine-dash line in the overview of the study area. The reviewer seized on this point and continuously emphasized that the 2016 South China Sea arbitration ruling implies that our country's claims are not recognized. The deputy editor probably rejected the manuscript based on this reviewer's opinion. Setting aside the political factors, the reviewer's advice was still good, but I decided to decline it directly.
