It took nearly 10 months, starting from last September to submit, going through four rounds of reviews, and finally rejected today. The first round had 3 reviewers who required major revisions. The 2nd and 3rd rounds had outside reviewers and the associate editor recommended publication, but the subject editor raised minor issues in each round, requiring further revisions. Last month entered the 4th review, thought it would be accepted, but ended up with three new reviewers, two accepted and one requiring minor revisions (due to two symbol errors). The editor-in-chief ultimately rejected it, citing lack of clarity in innovation...I am speechless, I can only say, it's not worth the effort, think twice before submitting

Feeling pretty lucky with my submission process. First review took three months (entered under review the day after submission, three reviewers in total, mostly major revisions, got a reject & resubmit decision via email, which is equivalent to major revisions in the system). Second review also took three months (entered under review one week after submission, reviewers completed their assessments within two days, but the editor took three months to give a decision, finally got an accept). Overall, the reviewers were very professional, just a bit lacking in timeliness

15-month review process. The first round took almost 13 months, with no reviewers accepting the review invitation midway through. I sent two reminder emails, and finally received a major revision decision. I submitted the revisions half a month later, followed by minor revisions a month later, and then it was accepted. Overall, the reviewers' level was quite high, and as my first paper, many valuable points were indeed raised by the reviewers. However, the efficiency of this journal is very low, especially with the first round of review taking so long. In recent years, the quality of this journal has decreased significantly, and now it seems that the cost-effectiveness is not high
