The time given to reviewers is too long, and the frequency of journal editors' responses is also quite random. I hope it will get better slowly. Normal submission should take about 8 months, which is acceptable. However, I encountered a strange reviewer who claimed that my data in the repeated sections did not match. In my response, I described all the overlapping data separately in charts and found no issues. As a result, the reviewer became angry and rejected my paper, claiming that my response was not sufficient. It seems that the reviewer was biased against Chinese authors. The editor thought this was unfair, so they asked me to revise the paper and show it to the same reviewer again. After the revision, the reviewer stopped responding, delaying the process for nearly a year. In the end, the editor decided to accept the paper
