The Journal of the American Oil Chemists’ Society (JAOCS) is an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes significant original scientific research and technological advances on fats, oils, oilseed proteins, and related materials through original research articles, invited reviews, short communications, and letters to the editor. We seek to publish reports that will significantly advance scientific understanding through hypothesis driven research, innovations, and important new information pertaining to analysis, properties, processing, products, and applications of these food and industrial resources. Breakthroughs in food science and technology, biotechnology (including genomics, biomechanisms, biocatalysis and bioprocessing), and industrial products and applications are particularly appropriate.

JAOCS also considers reports on the lipid composition of new, unique, and traditional sources of lipids that definitively address a research hypothesis and advances scientific understanding. However, the genus and species of the source must be verified by appropriate means of classification. In addition, the GPS location of the harvested materials and seed or vegetative samples should be deposited in an accredited germplasm repository. Compositional data suitable for Original Research Articles must embody replicated estimate of tissue constituents, such as oil, protein, carbohydrate, fatty acid, phospholipid, tocopherol, sterol, and carotenoid compositions. Other components unique to the specific plant or animal source may be reported. Furthermore, lipid composition papers should incorporate elements of year­to­year, environmental, and/ or cultivar variations through use of appropriate statistical analyses.

There are very few articles about pour point depressant applied in biodiesel in this journal with similar directions. I tried to submit to it and it was accepted after revision. 2020.10.09 Submission; 2020.11.05 Major revision. 2 reviewers, one asked a lot of questions, but they all were answered very well, the other one only asked one question. Three months were given to revise. 2020.11.29 Revised submission; 2020.12.01 accepted.

The younger brother selectd for the degree certificate in the article, submitted in May, returned in July, and received in August.Personally feel that this journal has a good review speed, and it is easy to receive it.

Relative to other journals, this journal is relatively slow, and has selectd for 3 articles in this journal. The last two articles have been waiting for 2 months and returned to the reviewers.I waited for 6 months before returning. It was really anxious, now a major repair, a minor repair, I still don't know the result

This journal is a relatively authoritative journal for oils and fats. However, the review speed is very slow. The reviewers are required to give results within 3 weeks, which is similar to other journals. The review process of this journal is complicated and involves the editor-in-chief, senior deputy editor, general deputy editor, and reviewer. The general deputy editor is responsible for all of the aspects of the manuscript (for reviewers and revisions). If the general deputy editor approves, the manuscript will be sent to the senior deputy editor. The manuscript may also be stopped here, but the final acceptance decision is made by the senior deputy. I am familiar with one of the senior deputy editors of this journal, and I complained to him that the journal was too slow, but I have not seen any results.

Talk about my submission, go to the end of October, return to repair one month and a few days, minor repairs... article review is very fast, we doIt was a single-molecule study, but it was directly edited by the editor. I thought that the direction did not match. I gave the opinion in three days, and the efficiency was very fast.
