This is a primarily statistical magazine, but in recent years, they have also started a section on biomathematics. The review process is indeed fast, with results given in just 22 days, but my objective opinion is that the biomathematics section of this journal is not mature enough. The reviewers chosen are not from the relevant field, and their review comments are not serious. They even misunderstood the main theme of the article in their review comments, which shows that the reviewers are not familiar with this field. I hope that future authors who submit to this journal will be cautious.

The paper was submitted on June 9 this year, and the opinions for major revision was received on August 5. The opinions from the two reviewers were up to fifteen or sixteen. The second reviewer actually calculated some key formulas in the derivation process with great care! We modified it for one month, and returned it on September 4. (The submission instructions of this journal stipulate that no matter how much the revision is, the time given for revision is all one month, but when the email notification was received, the editor said that if we really need more time to revise, we can contact the editor via Email for consultation). After the review for nearly a month, I received a notice on September 30: It's another major revision required! It was mainly because the first reviewer was unsatisfied with the two main questions I answered. After revising it for another month, it was returned on October 30. After more than ten days of review, I received a notice on November 9 again: Another major revision?! But this time it was about the language issue, and the two reviewers nearly had no comments. I asked an editing company to polish it, and resubmitted it on December 2. Then the acceptance notice was received on December 7. The two reviewers were very professional. They have asked questions as "How is this formula derived? Please explain the principle" or "This term has been used in a certain field and is very cutting-edge. You can’t use it directly like this" etc. I feel that some of these issues can't be fooled, and at the same time, I also flatted the reviewers, haha! Generally speaking, this journal is quite good, and the speed is relatively fast compared to other journals. Everyone is welcome to submit, and I also wish the journal better and better ^-^

As for the articles submitted to Journal of Statistical Mechanics: Theory and Experiment, it usually took more than one month before the return of the comments of first review. It had been more than three months this time, there were still no review comments, so I urged it. I received the reply from the editor in an hour, saying that three reviewers were invited. Two of them did not raise comments within the specified time, and only one reviewer’ comments were returned. There were up to 17 comments, and major revision was required, and one month was given for revision. The reviewers were very professional, and the editor was an expert from Germany. After more than 20 days of revision, the revised manuscript was submitted. Minor revision was required in a week, and the revised manuscript was submitted in half a day. An hour later, it was accepted.

This was my first submission, and it was rejected in two days. The ability of report and English writing needed to be improved. It was recommended to find an English Experts who are native or close to English to improve the quality of the manuscript. After receiving revisions from foreign experts, it was submitted in half a month. The quality of the article had been greatly improved, but it was still rejected by the editor. The reason for the rejection was that the English quality was not good. We had learnt to keep our temper after such a torment.

I submitted one article two years ago, and the editor directly accepted it three months later, but I did not see the reviewer's opinion. Another paper was selected this year. After 4 months, I received  the comments. There were two reviewers: one said that the article was innovative, only raising some grammatical questions, and another reviewer was very arrogant, saying our calculation was too complicated. The latter reviewer said our paper was too long (30 pages), requiring the removal of complex calculations. The final editor requested an overhaul. We disagreed with the opinions of the second reviewer and could not delete the calculation process. Since the conclusion of the article could not be established after the deletion, the organizational structure of the article also had problems. Finally, the editor directly rejected the manuscript without giving any reason. I have submitted papers to so many journals, and this is the first time I came across such irresponsible editors. I will not consider submitting manuscripts to this journal in the future.

I researched statistics on September 15th and submitted an article. On September 27th, I submitted a review opinion, overhauled. On October 7th, I sent the revised comments back to the 10th and received it. After a few days, I sent it.The copyright agreement was signed and sent to the publisher. On the 28th, the manuscript was received to inform the journal that the review and follow-up procedures were quite fast.

The article is not innovative enough, the method is wrong, and it is rejected.Personally think that there is a difference between the article and the subject of the journal. The tragedy is expected and out of expectation.
