Sedimentology is a good journal in the field, with high recognition in Europe and America. The review process may be slow, but the editors are quick to respond to emails. There are not many domestic submissions, probably only one or two a year. Initially, I had two reviewers, one rejected the paper outright and the other accepted it, but the editor found a third reviewer for major revisions. The reviewer's comments were very constructive. The paper, on petroleum geology, received feedback from experts from two retired petroleum companies in the United States, with one reviewer providing detailed suggestions spanning almost 20 pages. The revisions greatly improved the paper. In the final editing stage, the journal has a dedicated editing institution. I received editing suggestions from a professor at MIT, who was very professional and even gave me some guidance on specific punctuation usage, which was very beneficial.

It is a good journal in sedimentology field. The editor-in-chief is quite responsible! In the later process of Proof, I corrected a lot of grammatical and detailed errors with the help of the editor-in-chief, which would be a treasure of my life!
