One provided some very meaningful suggestions, while the other constantly nitpicked and used his lack of understanding as a reason for not comprehending. After the revision, only one external reviewer's opinion remained. They didn't understand the whole text and questioned the data based on not understanding even the simple figures in the article. They either thought it was incorrect or crazily denied it in cases where they misunderstood. What a journal! Encountering an old expert who knows nothing at all. I am planning to send an email to inquire about the identity of the reviewer and avoid submitting articles to them in the future. I really want to curse, not even understanding basic biostatistics! And yet, they are assigned to review articles! What a waste of time!(0) 讚! | avsers |

2023-02-01 19:30:55 評論於 After the initial submission, a major revision was made two and a half months later. Two reviewers, who were very professional, raised nearly 100 questions. One month later, the paper was revised again. After a second round of review, which lasted for one and a half months, only one of the previous reviewers had minor comments, while the editor sought a third reviewer who provided a plethora of suggestions. The paper was sent back for revision again one month later, and was accepted the next day. The entire process took six and a half months. This is an esteemed international journal in the dairy industry, with highly professional editors and reviewers. It took 4 months from submission to acceptance, and I felt the editor was very efficient. There were 2 reviewers in the first review, one of them read the article carefully and raised 55 comments. Another one may not in the relative field, so he didn’t understand it. He asked 5 questions and let me make further revision, but didn’t mention how to revise it. After three weeks of revision, the article was basically rewritten. I carefully answered the comments of the first reviewer. The reply was more than 5,000 words, and it also provided many supporting data that were not in the article. After the revision was submitted, the first reviewer read the reply carefully and asked to supplement some data to the article. The second reviewer still didn’t quite understand and asked a question. After the minor revision, the article should be sent for review again by the editor, and it was accepted directly. The overall feeling is that it is difficult to publish on this journal.
