This journal is really slow. I almost didn't graduate because of it. I submitted my paper in early April 2023, but didn't hear anything until September. When I followed up, the next day the editor rejected it directly without sending it for external review, with the reason being lack of innovation in my article. I was so frustrated and wondered if it really takes six months to review something lacking innovation. Does it only accept articles from big shots? Fortunately, I saw this journal drop from a second-tier to a third-tier journal, so there is still room for further decline.

I advise everyone not to submit. Like the original poster, I submitted my manuscript on November 7, 2024. After the status changed to "Out for review" on November 18, the status has not changed since then. I asked them once at the end of December, and their response was: "Don't worry, everything is proceeding normally, we will have results soon." So I kept waiting, and after the new year, I followed up again. The reply was: "Under normal circumstances, the review period is 15-17 weeks. As for unexpected situations, they are uncontrollable." I thought it was almost time, so I continued to wait. After waiting for a month without any feedback, I followed up again. They said: "Actually, we could finish the review by the end of February, but we haven't found the appropriate reviewer. If you don't mind, we will find a suitable reviewer for you by mid-March." I was so frustrated, they delayed me for so long and didn't even find a reviewer. Now I am constantly sending emails to request withdrawal of my submission, but they have not allowed me to withdraw for almost a week. I advise everyone, never submit, a bloody lesson (I also didn't believe it before).

This is my manuscript, its status has been over 5 months until today, October 16, 2024.

The status of this IJPE has changed, with "out for review" in the dashboard and "UR" in Scholar One. Previously, one was "WE" and the other was "UR". Another article from the same publisher, RMPD, is currently in the hands of the administrator in the dashboard, and Scholar One shows that editors and two administrators have been assigned (under review status). Overall, the operations of TF are really slow and confusing. This article was only submitted after being rejected by CBM, otherwise I would never have submitted it.
