The editors I have encountered are very good, they are efficient and respond promptly to reminders. The problem lies with the reviewers, who clearly requested a 6-week revision deadline but have been continuously delaying the review process. It seems that many transportation-related manuscripts are being treated irresponsibly by reviewers. If they are not willing to take on the task, they should just decline it instead of dragging it out. It is truly frustrating.
