The job is positioned around small nc and acs catalysis. Angew was submitted for review but the reviewer rejected it. The reviewer's opinion felt unprofessional. It was then submitted to CCS Chem for major revisions and was subsequently accepted without any publication fees. The reviewer's comments were very professional. Share some insights and experiences on submitting manuscripts.
I started by submitting to Angew, but after 2 months of no response, I sent an email to inquire about the status. The response was mixed, with one positive and one negative feedback, and unexpectedly, the editor rejected the manuscript. Then, I decided to submit to CCS Chem, as it is positioned as the number one domestic chemistry journal, and I wanted to support domestic publications.
The submission process went smoothly, and the manuscript was sent for review on the same day. After 4 weeks, I received feedback from two reviewers, both of which were positive, and the editor provided minor revisions. After 1 week, I made the revisions and the manuscript was accepted directly.
I hope CCS Chem continues to thrive and becomes the first domestic journal with an impact factor over 10! (Estimated to be released next year).
