The first review by ASE took about a month and a half, while the second review seemed to only take 3 days, I can't remember exactly. The major overhaul and rework were completed on 20241111, and it has been sent for external review until now, still in the hands of the editor, not sure how it is going. The first review took 3 months, and the second review is approaching 4 months.

Have your paper been accepted for publication after all? I also had a reject and resubmission after the first review, with too many comments and questioning the novelty. They allowed resubmission, but won't it be the same reviewers? There is a high probability that the novelty will still be questioned next time, right? What's the point then? Besides, the review process takes so long, it might be better to submit to a different journal directly. I just want to ask what happened with your paper?
