Review article, overall experience was great, the review process was very fast. Submitted on January 26th, invited 2++ reviewers, received revision comments on February 26th from a total of three reviewers. Given 3 weeks to make revisions, with over 30 questions in total. Carefully addressing each question significantly improved the quality of the article. Revised on March 5th, all reviewers replied with positive feedback on March 12th, and all three reviewers agreed to accept the article. Today, we happily received the acceptance notification.

I submitted the article in May 24th, after 3 revisions in November, the editor said the article was going to be accepted. However, in February, I was informed that the previous editor had left, and the new editor disagreed with publishing it... It's really ridiculous.

Submitted on July 26, major revisions on October 2, minor revisions on November 27, rejected on December 10. During the minor revisions, it was mentioned that my article should be acceptable, but it was still rejected. The reviewers all gave positive feedback.. I am speechless.. A junior fellow of mine submitted a pure bioinformatics article and was instantly rejected. A female scientist in France who won the Nobel Prize for inventing gene editing technology, and a Nobel Prize-winning scientist in Japan, have both published articles in Gene. The official website shows an acceptance rate of 15%, and the review process is quite strict, but very serious. I have had three reviewers, and one of them asked me to change all bar graphs to scatter plots for data evaluation. The downside is that the impact factor is not high, but it has been stable and not classified as a risk category.
