I submitted my manuscript to SI and it was rejected halfway through with a request to change to a uniform template format and include an ORCID. After making the changes, I resubmitted on February 25th and it is still in the waiting stage. However, the deadline has been changed to March 1st. Do you have any thoughts on this?

During the second review, two out of the three reviewers from the first review disappeared, so we had to invite new ones. I kept track of the changes in status in the submission system and also received notifications on WeChat.

Secondly, did the reviewer for the first round of review disappear when it came time for the second round? That's why they had to invite so many new reviewers?
