Food Analytical Methods publishes original articles, review articles, and notes on novel and/or state-of-the-art analytical methods or issues to be solved, as well as significant improvements or interesting applications to existing methods. These include analytical technology and methodology for food microbial contaminants, food chemistry and toxicology, food quality, food authenticity and food traceability. The journal covers fundamental and specific aspects of the development, optimization, and practical implementation in routine laboratories, and validation of food analytical methods for the monitoring of food safety and quality.

Submitted on March 13th. The technical review was quickly approved, and it entered peer review on the same day. However, a month has passed and it is still in peer review. I sent an email urging for submission, and the editor politely replied that they have not yet found a reviewer. What efficiency!

I have seen many people say that this journal's review process is very slow. Overall, I feel that the initial review speed is quite fast. However, after submitting minor revisions, it has been in the editor's review status for over a week without any news. I don't know if it will be sent for external review or if the editor will make a direct decision. Waiting is making me anxious.

Overall, this journal is still very good. The reviewers are very serious, and the editors are also good. I will continue to wait for updates.

I don't know what happened to this journal. Even though the impact factor is only 2.5, the journal has dropped from Q2 to Q3. Also, for a period of time, the submission website couldn't be found. I hope the journal will make serious improvements and not decline any further.

Submitted on January 22nd, assigned to editing on January 23rd, it takes a month for both. However, there is no sign of it being sent for review in the editing process. This journal is truly slow. How many months does it take for everyone else to get reviewed?
