Ferroelectrics is designed to provide a forum for people working in ferroelectrics and related materials such as ferroelastics, ferroelectric-ferromagnetics, electrooptics, piezoelectrics, pyroelectrics, nonlinear dielectrics, and liquid crystals. Ferroelectrics publishes experimental and theoretical papers aimed at the understanding of ferroelectricity and associated phenomena and applied papers dealing with the utilization of these materials in devices and systems. An important aspect of Ferroelectrics is to provide a vehicle for the publication of interdisciplinary papers involving ferroelectricity.
The editor invites original papers and short communications on the theory, fabrication, properties, and applications of ferroelectrics and related materials. In addition to research papers, Ferroelectrics publishes appropriate and timely review articles.

After the retirement of Old Taylor last year (2023), Little Taylor (presumably Old Taylor's daughter) naturally took over. With the new leader, there have been some changes, such as switching from the previous format of 16 volumes per year to one volume with 16 issues per year (4 issues have been officially released). However, the F journal series has been inactive for six months, which could be due to two possibilities: (1) waiting to publish a collection of papers for an important academic conference, but this has rarely happened in the history of the F journal, so it is unlikely; (2) the most likely scenario is that Little Taylor has not been able to settle the entire editorial committee and there is internal conflict over power and profit. If it is the latter case, it inevitably casts a shadow over the future of the F journal series, so it is strongly recommended and advised to be cautious about submitting papers to the F journal series.

Not to mention that the pitiful impact factor of F magazine has dropped again this year, it's really distressing; up to now this year, it should have published up to the 10th issue, but only 4 issues have been released, with no activity for several months, it's probably on the verge of ceasing publication. It just doesn't feel like a normal journal anymore. In the future, it's better not to submit manuscripts here, just find another journal, at least they publish on time!

Overall, the impact factor of this journal is somewhat insufficient, but it is still possible to publish an article that meets the graduation requirements. It is not bad, as long as the data is complete and the structure is clear. Generally, it will not be rejected. I submitted it in mid-March and it was directly accepted by the end of July.

Today, it was a disaster. The damn reviewer examined everything within the old theoretical framework, showing a particular ignorance towards new theoretical methods. Also, why is it that sometimes submitting papers with the same viewpoint to the same journal works, while other times it doesn't? Are the editors the same people, or is it due to different reviewers?

The online submission. Four months later, I asked (the actual) Chief Editor, Ms. Taylor, and received a reply a week later, saying that I had to wait another month to a month and a half for the results. So I've been eagerly waiting every day.

I have been submitting for 3 months, but there has been no response at all. The status has remained unchanged. I messaged the editor, and they said it has been sent for review. I have submitted three articles to this journal, and the review speed was not the same. For the first one, the manuscript proof was suddenly sent to me nine months after the submission. The second one might match the interest of the editor-in-chief, so the manuscript was accepted after one month. The third on had a total review time of three months. I feel it’s easy to publish here.
