Both reviewers requested major revisions, and after making these revisions, the editor also requested major revisions. One reviewer provided over 20 comments, to which I replied with over 90 pages of responses, resulting in an additional 10 pages added to the paper. However, the second round of review resulted in one minor revision and one rejection, with the editor ultimately rejecting the paper. The questions raised did not seem to be from expert peers, and the rejection lacked sufficient justification, seemingly done just for the sake of rejection. Why not reject the paper in the first round and waste everyone's time?

The first review took seven months, which is indeed a bit slow. The main reason is that one of the reviewers left midway, and then another reviewer was added. There were three reviewers in the first round, one accepted the manuscript directly, one gave major revisions and provided many constructive comments, and the third gave some general comments (lack of innovation, low contribution) and rejected the manuscript. The editor requested major revisions, with conflicting opinions, and asked for resubmission within six months. It took three months to revise and resubmit, and the manuscript was accepted just over a month later. The whole process took a total of one year
