After submitting to the system, I waited for nearly three months before receiving the second email urging progress and assigning the responsible senior editor for the manuscript. The editor immediately sent it for external review. On the fourth day of review, we received a rejection email with only one reviewer's comments attached. Our article focuses on brain imaging, but the reviewer did not mention any doubts about the methods or experimental framework related to the main results. Instead, they only mentioned that we did not clearly specify the inclusion criteria for subjects and the validity of the experimental materials. In fact, we have clearly mentioned these details in the manuscript and provided additional information in the supplementary materials. This proves that the reviewer did not carefully read the article, and the editor did not further verify the reviewer's unreasonable comments.

I'm going to be angry with this journal. After submitting, the editor sent an email asking for funding, an English version, and original data, and asked me to explain why the methodology is similar to a paper I previously published. We communicated back and forth for a month, and it seemed like I was talking to a robot. I submitted the original data via email, but they were unable to download it. I tried sending it through other methods, but the editor still didn't download it. After repeated communication, I requested to withdraw the submission.
