Direction: DL+Imaging. After being rejected by MIA, I submitted to this journal after making revisions based on feedback. The overall review process was moderate in speed, with one positive and one negative in the first round of revisions. The negative feedback in the second round was mostly positive after modifications, with an additional question about generalization ability. After submitting the second round of revisions, I waited for over a month (which felt a bit long) before sending a reminder email, and received an acceptance email that same night. The overall submission process was standard, not particularly fast but also not experiencing long periods of no updates for two to three months. The two reviewers I encountered were not overly harsh, and both agreed to publish after a reasoned discussion.

It feels like this journal is pretty fast, not particularly demanding in terms of innovation, but mainly emphasizes the clear description of clinical issues. Perhaps my research direction is relatively niche. It was rejected and resubmitted directly after the first review, the feedback was quite gentle. It took about 20 days to make the revisions and submit. The decision was in process the next morning after submission. It seems like the editors made the decision without showing my response to the reviewers. Then, it was accepted on February 1st. Quite a surprise
