I don't understand the specific displayed state and its corresponding actual state very well. When I was around 6 months old, I sent an email inquiring about the status of the article. The specific email address was found on the journal's homepage.

May I ask how to tell if the reviewer is reviewing the manuscript? When I submitted it, the status changed to "Under Review," so I assume it is being reviewed by the editor. However, the status has remained unchanged for three months. Also, how can I request an update on the progress of the review?

Submitted in early December 2021.
Around April and May 2022, sent emails to the editorial department to urge for the manuscript (editor's reply was pending decision).
In mid-July 2022, received first round of comments.
In mid to late October 2022 (due to some delays, our response to the first round of revisions was slow, if we had responded faster, the subsequent process should have been quicker).
In late November 2022, received second round of comments, minor revisions.
Received acceptance two days after submitting the revised manuscript for the second round of review. Overall, the speed was acceptable, and communication with the editorial department was pleasant.
