Biomicrofluidics (BMF) is an online-only journal published by AIP Publishing to rapidly disseminate research in fundamental physicochemical mechanisms associated with microfluidic and nanofluidic phenomena. BMF also publishes research in unique microfluidic and nanofluidic techniques for diagnostic, medical, biological, pharmaceutical, environmental, and chemical applications.

BMF offers quick publication, multimedia capability, and worldwide circulation among academic, national, and industrial laboratories. With a primary focus on high-quality original research articles, BMF also organizes special sections that help explain and define specific challenges unique to the interdisciplinary field of biomicrofluidics.

Microfluidic and nanofluidic actuation (electrokinetics, acoustofluidics, optofluidics, capillary)
Liquid Biopsy (microRNA profiling, circulating tumor cell isolation, exosome isolation, circulating tumor DNA quantification)
Cell sorting, manipulation, and transfection (di/electrophoresis, magnetic beads, optical traps, electroporation)
Molecular Separation and Concentration (isotachophoresis, concentration polarization, di/electrophoresis, magnetic beads, nanoparticles)
Cell culture and analysis(single cell assays, stimuli response, stem cell transfection)
Genomic and proteomic analysis (rapid gene sequencing, DNA/protein/carbohydrate arrays)
Biosensors (immuno-assay, nucleic acid fluorescent assay, colorimetric assay, enzyme amplification, plasmonic and Raman nano-reporter, molecular beacon, FRET, aptamer, nanopore, optical fibers)
Biophysical transport and characterization (DNA, single protein, ion channel and membrane dynamics, cell motility and communication mechanisms, electrophysiology, patch clamping). Etc...

Biohydrodynamics.It is in line with the topic of this journal, and the quality of the article is not bad.Compared with the previous labchip, the basic difference is not too much, but labchip suspects that this top has just been sent, so I have not given it.

Experience shared: Doing biofluid dynamics. It fits the topic of this journal quite well, and the quality of the article is considered good. Compared to the previous labchip, it is not much different, but labchip found that this topic had just been published, so it was not accepted

Review speed: 1.0
Experience sharing: Biomicrofluidics is the top-ranked journal for fluid and plasma physics. I work in the direction of microfluidic electrokinetics, and the editor-in-chief personally handles the manuscripts. I have submitted two papers - the first one was recommended to AIP Adv due to lack of biological background, and the second one was accepted by Biomicrofluidics. It's indeed quite difficult to get accepted in the electrokinetics direction, as the editor-in-chief is quite strict. The journal is more likely to accept papers that combine biological entities (such as HIV, DNA, etc.) with microfluidic control

Biomicrofluidics is the number one journal in fluid and plasma physics. I submitted my manuscript a few weeks ago, and the editor (who I know personally) has submitted two manuscripts as well.

AIP's new issue, two reviewers, reviewers are quick, one month to reply, about two months acceptable.The impact factor is somewhat high, and the personal feeling is that the quality of the article is still worse than APL.
