My fourth paper in this journal (related to health inequalities) took 14 months from submission to acceptance, which is quite slow (a previous submission in 2020 took about 9 months with one major revision and one minor revision). The journal is mostly in the JCR Sociology category and Social Sciences Interdisciplinary category 1 (sometimes it drops to 2), but it has been in the top 2 category of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in the last two rankings. The acceptance rate of papers is around 15%, and overall quality and reputation are guaranteed. It is one of the flagship journals of the International Society for Quality of Life Studies (which also has some other good journals such as Journal of Happiness Studies, Quality of Life Research, and Applied Research in Quality of Life

The official publication will be available on July 1st.
Originally, it could have been published in May, but during that time, the journal office mistakenly got my email address wrong, and I didn't receive the manuscript link for over a month.
Later, I proactively contacted the editorial office to resolve the issue.
The response was still quite fast, and I was able to receive timely replies from the editorial office.

Submitted in mid-January 23, after about a week, received feedback from the editor, made modifications to the article and resubmitted it, entered the external review process after three to five days.
In mid-April 23, received comments from the external review, the editor provided minor revisions and a provisional acceptance of "Accept but incomplete".
The overall opinions of the two reviewers were positive, with one suggesting adjusting the order of the concluding paragraphs and the other recommending adding a discussion of the literature.
During the process of revising the article, inquiries were sent to the editor regarding unclear issues, and quick responses were received. Finally, it was officially accepted on April 24.
The journal editor is serious, responsible, and highly efficient. Highly recommended!
