This may not be the style that the journal likes. 2. Why did you submit this? Mainly because I focus on prediction. 3. Upon reflection, this journal is ultimately SSCI, not SCI. SSCI still focuses on problems, and the associate editor's rejection is somewhat reasonable. It just took too long. 5. This is just one associate editor's preference and may not represent the entire editorial team. I think it is still worth submitting if there is innovation in methods and problems. If time permits.

On December 4, 2024, and February 14, 2025, two months and 10 days later, still with, time unchanged. After two months, there was a reminder, and the official reply template from iFlytek was not helpful. Are your recent submissions taking this long as well?

The submission was made in September 2023, and the editor quickly sent it for review. However, it was not until May 2024 that the first round of revisions was provided. Both reviewers' comments were positive, so the revised manuscript was promptly resubmitted. However, the second reviewer did not provide any feedback after the resubmission. The editor then invited other reviewers, who provided their feedback for further revisions. Unfortunately, in December 2024, the manuscript was rejected after 15 months of waiting. The long wait ultimately proved to be in vain.

Although the initial decision by the editor took some time, it was quickly processed after submission, possibly due to a large volume of submissions. Based on the manuscript number, the estimated annual submission volume is between 6000-7000, with an acceptance rate of 10% or higher.

We were rejected after the second reminder in two months. The rejection reason was quite mean and it was obvious that they didn't read the article carefully (for example, the article clearly used method A, but the rejection letter said we used method B). At the end, they also subtly recommended a bunch of their own articles. We won't submit to them again in the future.
