Dragged for too long. It's frustrating that over a year has passed and I can still find my paper in the system as being in the initial review stage. I sent an email to the editor-in-chief with screenshots and the automatic reply I received at that time, and the editor-in-chief's response roughly meant: "I don't know why you're asking me because I don't know about your submission. If you're sure you submitted to our journal, please resubmit it." As a result, I resubmitted it, and after three months, it was rejected. The reason for rejection was that someone had already done the same research, and they even listed two recently published papers on the topic. I'm really angry...

Today I revisited the official website of the journal and verified that on the homepage it states: "The journal has been serving well the community, with its full contents free of charge for both readers/libraries and authors." However, on the detailed information page, there is a requirement to pay a $1000 article processing fee. Nevertheless, compared to another mathematics journal, AIMS Mathematics, these fees are relatively low.

The author probably has to pay a layout fee of ten thousand, and on top of that, one downside is that they have to do the typesetting themselves after the article is accepted.
