The aim of Frontiers in Nutrition is to integrate major scientific disciplines in this vast field in order to address the most relevant and pertinent questions and developments. Encountering good reviewers is crucial. One of the reviewers gave a lot of constructive feedback and made many revisions, but the communication was smooth, with responses usually on the same day or the next day. However, the other reviewer was very unprofessional, taking a long time to respond and only giving brief feedback before disappearing. Regardless of the conclusion, a response should be given. This wastes the time of the authors and editors and is very irresponsible.

May I ask what direction of article did you submit? I submitted to the section on nutrition for hypertension. I submitted on July 26th, and it was reviewed externally on August 3rd. I'm not sure if it will be rejected immediately.

Submission on July 4th, acceptance on August 3rd, the editing efficiency is very very high, the entire process is very smooth. Most likely related to the fact that the associate editor happens to be the topic editor, and it coincides with a newly established research topic.

After submission, the first month had one reviewer who provided feedback. I continued to wait for responses from other reviewers. In the meantime, the journal asked me to recommend reviewers, and I did. After three months passed without finding a reviewer, they rejected my submission, claiming it did not meet the requirements. It's truly absurd that they couldn't find a reviewer for such a long time and instead claimed my article didn't meet the submission requirements. They should have stated that it didn't meet the requirements from the beginning. They wasted four months of my time, which is very irresponsible. I advise being cautious when submitting articles.

1. Posted on December 1st; Interactive review opened on March 2nd; Only Reviewer 1 provided comments when it was opened on March 2nd. It took two weeks to reply to Reviewer 1, addressing very detailed issues including grammar problems in writing and some research mechanism aspects. 
2. On March 19th, Reviewer 2 submitted comments regarding some statistical methods issues. It took one week for major revisions.
3. On March 20th, Reviewer 3 submitted comments with a lower score but addressing some issues related to the research design itself.
After one round of revisions, all reviewers agreed to accept the paper. The editor was very fast in their work, constantly urging for the manuscript and was very responsible. Acceptance was received on April 5th.

Revisions will only be made after three months of submission.
Three reviewers: one major revision, one approval, one rejection.
Following the reviewers' suggestions, a positive control and in vivo experiment were conducted. Even the suggestions made by the reviewer who rejected it were fully addressed and additional experiments were conducted as requested.
In the end, the paper was directly rejected, stating that it did not comply with the journal's guidelines.
All the time and effort spent in the five months turned out to be in vain.

Reviewed and submitted on November 2nd;
Reviewer 2 returned with comments on November 9th, requiring major revisions before publication;
Reviewer 1 returned with comments on November 18th, requiring minor revisions before direct publication. (Both reviewers provided feedback)
Modified manuscript uploaded on November 28th;
Received acceptance email notification on December 6th.
Overall, individuals nearing graduation or with a need to meet award evaluation requirements can give it a try. However, if the sole purpose is to publish in a reputable journal, careful consideration is advised.

What district is it? Chinese Academy of Sciences is only in the second district, and even the subcategories are in the third district. I feel that the quality is not consistent. Unless necessary, I will not submit articles to Frontier magazine.

After submitting, I received an immediate response.
After a public discussion and review, both reviewers are professors from top universities and very professional.
One reviewer approved directly, while the other provided many reviews.
After making two revisions, it was approved the next day.
