If speed could be scored in negative numbers, I would definitely aim for the lowest. Timeline: Submitted in June 2023, first review completed in December with a 21-day revision period. At that time, I had a severe flu in the United States, with runny nose and tears, working day and night in the lab to make revisions. Then, there was no further communication. After the New Year, when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, I finally found the original reviewer to continue the review process. In August 2024, I received the second review notice, with a 9-day deadline for revisions. Me??? Can I really thank you? I seriously doubt that the editor handling my paper is a superhuman, while the reviewer's speed is quite impressive. Subsequently, in October, I received an acceptance notification. A 16-month cycle, marking the end of research from two to three years ago. I suggest those in a hurry to publish not to choose this journal.

The review paper takes about 4 months from submission to acceptance. There are many comments from reviewers, but they are not difficult. This journal will have a desk rejection before peer review. So seeing a desk rejection does not necessarily mean the paper will be rejected. Review papers can be submitted without invitation.

The manuscript was submitted in June 2022. It took two months for the editors to start looking for reviewers. Four reviewers were invited for the first round, which took 8 months. One recommended direct acceptance, two minor revisions, and one major revision. After the revisions were submitted, a long waiting period began. Only one reviewer from the first round provided feedback, so three more reviewers were added by the editor. After 7 months of lengthy review process, feedback was received. Three recommendations were for direct acceptance, while one of the additional reviewers had many suggestions, leading to another major revision. The revised manuscript was accepted approximately one month later. The entire process lasted 18 months, which was too long. There were many times in between when I wanted to give up. Students in a rush to publish should carefully consider submitting to this journal
