Date changed in May, status changed on June 4th, and the manuscript status has always been under review;
Sent a reminder email on July 20, mentioned that I am graduating soon and hope for a quicker progress. The reply was official, stating that they are actively reviewing the manuscript and will inform me of any updates;
Date changed on August 3, but the manuscript status remained under review;
Sent another reminder email on August 12, with no response;
Sent another reminder email on August 15, asking when a decision can be made. They replied that they are currently on holiday, thanked me for my message, and would reply when they are back in the office on the 16th;
Received a response to the reminder email on August 16, which was similar to the first reply, stating that they are actively reviewing the manuscript. I am starting to doubt this response

I found seven reviewers for me, and six of them gave feedback. Five of them suggested major revisions, and one was not very friendly. I am very lucky to have been rejected because if it had been accepted, it would have wasted a whole paper. This paper is no longer indexed by SCI.
