It's really slow. I submitted it in May 2024, and the first round of review took four months. After some minor revisions, two new external reviews were requested, which took another three months. One was approved directly, but the other asked for some fonts to be changed to italics. Should fonts changes really require another external review? The revised draft with font changes was sent for another external review!!!! It's been another month!!!! If you don't have time, please don't submit!!!! It's okay to have multiple external reviews, but why do we need another one just for changing fonts? How would the external review expert feel after seeing this?

I submitted the manuscript at the beginning of the month, went through three rounds of reviews, with a new reviewer each time. It's really too slow. The second round of revisions was sent back in September, and it wasn't sent out for external review until November. Moreover, a new reviewer was invited for the third review. This editor never gives the revised manuscript to the original reviewer, which feels very disrespectful to the reviewers. Every time, a new one is sent.

Your comments are hilarious. I am also in a tough situation. I submitted my application on February 2nd, and by early April, it was sent back for revisions. I have not heard anything since. Despite sending multiple emails for updates, I have not received any responses. And if I do get a response, it just repeats the same issues.
