Can anyone tell me how long a journal typically takes to make a decision after being "with editor"? Has anyone experienced being "with editor" for a long time and then being rejected without review? It has been a week since it was "with editor" and there has been no update or change in status.

Overall, the editing process was quite fast, with everything being processed within a week at most. Very satisfied.

After Reviewer 2 ran away, the editor re-invited on February 7th, and the new reviewer finished the review in one day. On the 8th, the editor directly requested major revisions. The editor then requested revisions on March 1st, as the graduation procedures seemed unlikely to be completed by around the 27th, and contacting customer service would take an extra week until March 8th for revisions. On March 3rd, despite having a high fever from the flu, revisions were written with a response, including the main modifications in the cover letter, thanking the editor and reviewer for their efficient handling. Direct acceptance was received on March 6th. PSEP can be described as my graduation miracle journal, with both articles being accepted within three months without major revisions, leading to a painless degree completion (although it was definitely painful during research and writing).
